The Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Specialist works directly for the Stakeholder Engagement Manager and with Government Relations Director to support AES policy positions and market objectives by developing relationships with community partners at the state, county, and local levels. The position will focus on development, execution, and operations of green hydrogen, solar, wind and battery storage, across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. Working remotely but preference to those candidates located in ERCOT/SPP market states. Up to 30% travel may be required.

Job Summary: Good Energy Collective is a policy research organization. We're building the progressive case for nuclear energy as an essential part of the broader climate change agenda and working to align the clean energy space with environmental justice and sustainability goals. We seek a full-time Community Engagement Lead who will help plan, execute, and evaluate our organization’s community engagement and outreach activities on nuclear energy issues. The Community Engagement Lead will work primarily on a two-year project to build capacity in geographically dispersed communities toward the eventual siting of nuclear waste storage facilities. This role will plan and lead community-level conversations and workshops as we work to develop guidelines for a consent-based process that would enable the successful and equitable siting of a potential future facility. By conducting direct local engagements, making resources and information available to community members, and assessing the impacts of these interventions, the Community Engagement Lead will work with the Good Energy team and our partners to develop and distill best practices to identify and engage with interested communities. The ideal applicant will have demonstrated work experience engaging with and coordinating among community-based organizations. We seek a policy analyst to conduct one or more research projects at the intersection of advanced nuclear energy and environmental justice. The policy analyst will research, write, and present their findings and contribute toward the organization’s growing body of knowledge and policy recommendations. They will educate key stakeholders, including policymakers, on their findings and grow their professional networks by collaborating with external partners.
This policy analyst will play a critical role in the execution of our work to advance the consent-based siting of domestic nuclear waste. The analyst will help identify and engage with interested communities around a consent-based process that would enable the successful and equitable siting of a potential future spent nuclear fuel facility. The Spill Prevention, Preparedness & Response (SPPR) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Project Specialist (Environmental Planner 3) position. This position can be located in any of the following offices: Our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA or our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $5,608 - $7,543 per month.
In this position, you will coordinate and develop the program’s review of State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and transboundary oil handling related projects. Through this work, you will assist the unit in identifying emerging transboundary issues and trends for future research projects. This is a unique position in the Spills Program, as the nature of the work changes as projects conclude and new projects emerge. You will gain a well-rounded understanding of the program’s policies, regulations, and priorities and will serve as a project manager for program-wide projects, provide rulemaking process or lead support, and participate on an Incident Management Team, further developing your skills in the Incident Command System.

The Water Resources (WR) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Contract and Grant Planner (Environmental Planner 4) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will serve as a member of a team of planning consultants to the WR Program Director, Office of Columbia River (OCR) Director, and WR and OCR Financial Services Section Manager, with responsibility for assisting with contract and grant financial services to implement water supply solutions directed through OCR. You will contribute to projects that tap into stored water from existing reservoirs, improve and build needed infrastructure, restore habitats, and develop enhanced water conservation projects to make water available for people, farms, and fish. Job Summary: Work to engage communities on the growing transit network in Snohomish County! Under supervision develops and implements community engagement plans. Projects include proposed service changes and service development. Builds relationships with transit partners and stakeholder groups. Plans and staffs outreach events. Assists in external communications for community engagement projects. This may include social media, website content, news releases, brochures, presentations, and internal communications. Coordinates with planning, communications, public affairs, and other staff to implement community engagement plans and communications. Works with peers and other departments to support outreach to priority populations.
