The Nebraska Chapter was created to better connect Nebraska-based organizations and professionals who share a passion for stronger and more effective public participation that moves beyond just checking a box or “decide and defend” approaches.
The Nebraska Chapter is currently led by a Core Team of professionals from both the public and private sectors:
Post-COVID, IAP2 Nebraska will be host quarterly professional development and networking events, as well as IAP2’s week-long Foundations and Techniques training every other year. Everyone is welcome to attend our events, regardless of IAP2 membership status.
IAP2 Nebraska Virtual Roundtable
Antidotes to Zoom Fatigue
This roundtable will provide public participation professionals and other interested stakeholders with an opportunity to discuss what they’ve seen work well in the age of COVID-required virtual engagement. The format will feature for peer-to-peer sharing of antidotes and workarounds for “Zoom fatigue” as well as lessons learned from the Omaha Public Power District’s new online engagement platform OPPDCommunityConnect, which was created in partnership with the Australian firm Bang the Table.
