Job Summary: 
Good Energy Collective is a policy research organization. We're building the progressive case for nuclear energy as an essential part of the broader climate change agenda and working to align the clean energy space with environmental justice and sustainability goals.

We seek a full-time Community Engagement Lead who will help plan, execute, and evaluate our organization’s community engagement and outreach activities on nuclear energy issues. The Community Engagement Lead will work primarily on a two-year project to build capacity in geographically dispersed communities toward the eventual siting of nuclear waste storage facilities.

This role will plan and lead community-level conversations and workshops as we work to develop guidelines for a consent-based process that would enable the successful and equitable siting of a potential future facility. By conducting direct local engagements, making resources and information available to community members, and assessing the impacts of these interventions, the Community Engagement Lead will work with the Good Energy team and our partners to develop and distill best practices to identify and engage with interested communities.

The ideal applicant will have demonstrated work experience engaging with and coordinating among community-based organizations. Experience communicating clean energy, climate change, or environmental justice issues is an asset. We welcome applicants from non-traditional backgrounds.
