September 2020 Newsletter

From the Executive Manager's Desk: Gail Madziar

COVID-19 has canceled our plans, eliminated events and changed many of our priorities both personally and professionally.  Something that hasn’t changed is the need for quality public participation in every facet of our civic and public life and our members’ passion for providing that P2. Our core values guide us to create fair, just and sustainable decisions together. We have an important role in our society and that role has never been more essential than now. We know the impact our members make and even as we adjust to living with the pandemic we want to help be your guide into the post pandemic world.  Read More

Core Values Awards: This Wednesday 9/30

Don't miss the IAP2 Core Values Awards

On Wednesday, September 30, it's time to celebrate the best in public engagement!

It’s time to cheer, applaud and learn from the best in the public participation profession: the 2020 IAP2 Core Values Awards Celebration (Canada and US) is Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 3:30 - 5:30pm, Pacific (6:30 - 8:30 Eastern)!

Our usual in-person gala has been re-imagined as a Virtual Celebration (on Zoom)! Hang out at home, or gather with colleagues in a socially-distant bubble; order in your own version of a splendid spread and pop the champagne.

We’ll also have breakout rooms, so you can meet with the honorees and learn more about what they did and how they impressed the judges.

So get ready for the latest in new ideas, new twists on old approaches, and a few fun surprises to keep you engaged!

So set the date, make your plans and register now! We’ll see you online!
