Join IAP2 Northeast for an overview of co-design and a conversation about the elements of this engagement approach on November 15. Topics include an overview of what co-design is (and isn’t), the business case for co-design, what practicing co-design looks like – some case studies, where it fits on the IAP2 Spectrum, and resources.
Co-design is a well-established approach to creative practice, particularly within the public sector. Co-design is often used as an umbrella term for co-creation and open design processes. This approach goes beyond consultation by building and deepening equal collaboration between citizens affected by, or attempting to, resolve a particular challenge. A key tenet of co-design is that users, as ‘experts’ of their own experience, become central to the design process.
The session will be hosted by Beth Offenbacker and Max Hardy, FIAP2. Beth is a project manager for Advanced Energy Workforce Development with TRC Companies, Inc. in Clifton Park, NY. Max is the founder and director at Max Hardy Consulting in Australia and a Master Trainer for IAP2.
