IAP2 Cascade Presents: Engaging with the Houseless Community

Siting new amenities can be a large public involvement task,

particularly when they are controversial services. Providing

shelters for people who are unhoused might be among the

more challenging– and necessary – public services on the

list. Join Bryan Aptekar and Jake Dornblaser from the City of

Portland’s Safe Rest Village program as they share their

experiences and answer questions about community

engagement, policy, and pushback for this project at the

upcoming IAP2 Cascade Chapter rresentation and network

night.
