Step away from the United States – several thousands of miles down under to be specific – during our next Cascade Chapter Zoom Brown Bag Thursday, November 18 at 3 p.m. Join our special guest Chris Mene, from Canterbury, New Zealand for an informal conversation about cultural issues related to community engagement.

We all recognize the increasingly stressful and difficult times we are in. Pandemics, protests, politics and global issues loom over all of our projects. Our constituents and communities are often angry, misbehaving and ready to lash out.

Join Chris Mene from New Zealand to discuss how we can care for ourselves while addressing the challenges in the communities where we work. This webinar will explore what this is doing to us personally. Is this affecting our job and our ability to bring people together in decision making? How do these issues affect us here and those who live in the southern atmosphere?

Our conversation will feature a quick overview of issues facing Australasia along with a discussion about the contrasts (good and bad) of our cultural challenges.
