The Puget Sound Chapter will be hosting IAP2 Foundations in Public Participation Certificate Training in November 2021.
Whether you are new to the public participation process or an advanced practitioner, this training will provide you with the structure, techniques and knowledge you need to be a successful practitioner. This virtual course gives you the opportunity to delve into your own challenges as you learn and review the essential elements of effective public participation planning.
This year, we are offering the training virtually over nine days. Training will be led by licensed trainers, Penny Mabie and Wendy Green Lowe, CPF, CP3.
The course is two parts: Planning for Effective Public Participation (5, 4-hour days: Nov. 8-12, 8:30-12:30pm) and Techniques for Effective Public Participation (4, 4-hour days: Nov. 15-18, 8:30-12:30pm). Participants can register for:
Scholarships Available
Two scholarships will be available for interested persons. Applicants must demonstrate both a passion for the public engagement practice and a financial hardship or other reason for requesting a scholarship. If interested, please fill out an application.
