Are you curious about the number and variety of digital tools appearing on the market for public participation? Our new Digital Discovery Workshop series is here for you! Join Susanna Haas Lyons on Thursday, Sept. 23, starting at 11am Pacific (2pm Eastern), for the first in a series of six workshops. Susanna kicks off with a look at the Virtual Open House: a live-streaming or webinar tool, in which key project team members present live and then conduct a moderated question and answer session in real-time. This live stream can be recorded and shared on a project website for those not able to participate during the live presentation. With an on demand tool, participants can explore prepared materials, watch videos and submit questions for later response.

Here’s your chance to hear from those who have used it, including the IAP2 Core Values Award winners from Salt Lake City, UT! Christianna Johnson of the City and Stacee Adams of Avenue Consultants will discuss their experiences, joined by Courtney Powell, Planning Administrator with the City of Greenville, SC, and Dan Armstrong of Canberra, Australia-based Formswell. Learn about the different Virtual Open House tools they used and how they can apply to your own worrk!

Read about the presenters here.

There’ll be a different Digital Discovery Workshop each month (except November) into the New Year:

Oct. 28 - Interactive mapping

Dec. 9 - Dialogue Across Difference

Jan. 27 - Digital Whiteboards

Feb. 24 - Visualizing Trade-offs

March 24 - Instagram for P2
