IAP2 USA Puget Sound: Accommodations for People with Disabilities Workshop

Join the IAP2 Puget Sound Chapter on April 9 for an evening of facilitated small group conversations that explore disability accommodations in the public participation work we do every day.

One of our core values as public participation practitioners is based on the belief that those who are affected by a decision have a right to be involved in the decision-making process, but not all outreach tools and tactics work for all participants. Come share your experience and learn from your fellow practitioners about inviting, accommodating and considering new tactics for including people with disabilities in the public participation process.

At the event, you will:

• Gain understanding from the experience of other practitioners.
• Share your experience implementing accommodations for people with disabilities.
• Brainstorm with like-minded colleagues about how to better our practice.
• Connect with other public participation practitioners in the area.
