Description:

The concept of workforce Diversity is no longer an abstraction; it is part of everyday life. But how much do we actually understand about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)? In today’s environment of a heightened focus on racial disparities, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the workforce, organizations seek to better understand how to effectively advance DEI initiatives within the organization. This course is geared for those who seek a fundamental understanding of DEI. It will provide a fundamental understanding of DEI Concepts and address the following: Why DEI is important in the workplace and in social investment. Know the true value of DEI in the workplace. This course will provide an understanding of the terminology, insights into legal and compliance constructs and beyond, and insights into creating a Framework to advance DEI in the workplace. This course will also challenge individuals to explore their attitudes and perceptions about DEI and to self-identify with their DEI role within an organization using the PCIHO model (Pioneer, Champion, Influencer, Hesitater, Obstructer).
