Description:

The session foundational content is based in racial and ethnicities of color and will cover aspects of developing a common language and understanding of the historical and present-day presence of institutional and systemic racism, and how to begin to address it internally and for stakeholders, including concepts of equity frameworks and tools. Substantial small group work will provide increased opportunities for learning from colleagues through sharing challenges and successes. Additionally, the training touches on intersectionality and addressing equity as related to other marginalized identities in addition to race. (Prerequisite for Advanced Equity Course)
