Grace Liu Our guest speaker for this month's lunch gathering will be Grayce Liu, the General Manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment for the City of Los Angeles.

Grayce will be talking about her experience with public outreach and engagement on behalf of the city and how Neighborhood Councils are linking citizens with their city.

Grayce has been with the Department for six years and was the Director of Policy and Communications for the Neighborhood Council system before being appointed by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to lead the department in 2012 and reappointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti in 2013. Prior to this, she was the Community Program Director for the Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) and the co-chair of the Asian and Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Task Force in the San Gabriel Valley. She continues to teach classes on domestic violence, sexual assault, compassionate communications, and self-defense in her free time.

Upon arrival, you will be required to go through security for City Hall and will be asked to show a valid drivers license. Please plan accordingly and give yourself a few extra minutes to get to the meeting room.

There is very limited amount of free parking available in the City Hall basement parking lot. If you wish to have parking for the event, you MUST get your vehicle information (make, model, color, and plate number) to Lauren Cobb at ms dot laurencobb [at] gmail.com no later than March 17th.
