Deanna Desedas, Public Outreach & Engagement Manager for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), is responsible for managing a dedicated team focused on outreach and community engagement. Deanna oversees the planning of outreach and engagement for major capital construction projects, transit and neighborhood focused projects conducted by the agency that often have major impacts to communities throughout the city. Deanna is the lead for the development and implementation of POETS, a Public Outreach and Engagement Team Strategy, for the agency. This strategy is redefining the agency’s approach and structure to public outreach and engagement. Deanna also functions as a small business liaison for the Agency and focuses on building relationships with this important segment of the San Francisco community. Prior to joining the SFMTA, she worked with Clear Channel Communications for a decade, overseeing marketing and advertising for major clients on both a local and regional level. Deanna’s primary focus throughout her career has been on developing relationships and building trust with key stakeholders, communities and businesses.
