Over the past decade, The International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Certificate training has become the standard for organizations that wish to implement effective public involvement programs.

The Certificate Program provides a broad-based learning experience covering all of the foundations of civic engagement. Developed by the most experienced and successful practitioners from around the world, this training provides useful tools for designing and implementing practical, real world public involvement programs. The Certificate Program was designed to provide the knowledge, skills, techniques, and confidence to design and manage the most effective public involvement programs.

Upon completion of all three classes, students earn a Certificate in Public Participation from IAP2.

Emotion, Outrage and Public Participation: Moving from Rage to Reason

A fresh, new 2-day training course from the The International Association for Public Participation:

Public anger is an increasing fact of society. Growing global citizen outrage causes government gridlock, lawsuits, stopped projects, election losses, loss of time, money, and destroyed credibility.

Emotion, Outrage and Public Participation is a new workshop that builds on IAP2’s global best practices in public involvement and the work of Dr. Peter Sandman, a foremost researcher and expert in public outrage and risk communication.

This course will help you move people from rage to reason and engage stakeholders in building consensus for better decisions.

This practical, hands-on workshop is a fresh 2-day mix of lecture, video, small and large group discussion and authentic, real world exercises that give you the tools and ability to manage the tough public issues that you face and move your projects forward.
