Jennifer Trotter is a Public Involvement Specialist with Burns & McDonnell, an engineering and environmental services firm. In this role she leads Stakeholder Management Services and Supplier Diversity in California.
Jennifer is an International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) trained practitioner with 10 years of experience in community engagement and relations and has held key leadership and communications roles in the public, non-profit, and private sectors. Prior to joining the Burns & McDonnell team she was the Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Community Development Foundation (CDF), non-profit arm of the County of Los Angeles. She also previously oversaw the implementation of over $50 million in federal funded urban redevelopment, affordable housing, and community development projects with a number of municipalities. Jennifer has also held posts with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) and eCivis, LLC. She holds a Master’s in Planning from the University of the Southern California (USC) and a Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Jennifer sits on the IAP2 USA Membership and Fundraising Committees and is especially active in the Scholarship Taskforce.
